Ooty places to visit after 6 pm

Ooty is one of the popular hill stations in India. It is located in the state of Tamil Nadu. Also known as Udhagamandalam, the scenic town of Ooty draws hundreds of tourists. It is situated at an altitude of around 7,440 feet and used to be the summer capital of the British Raj. If you wish to experience, Ooty in the evening, it is always better to venture after 6 PM. Watching the sun slowly setting in the horizon above the beautiful Nilgiri Hills is an experience in itself.

Because Ooty is a hill station, most of the tourist destinations close in the evening. However there are some places where you can visit after 6 PM. Some of them are:

St Stephens Church: It is one of the iconic points of interests in Ooty. The church was built in the 18th century and is a fine example of Gothic architecture. It is located quite close to the main tow center and you can enjoy a short stroll to the church. Spend some time in silence inside the church to calm your mind.

Holy Trinity Church: It is another well-known church in Ooty. The interior of the church is adorned with paintings from the bible and other Christian scriptures. The main town center is also close by.

Nightlife is not so pronounced in Ooty. However, there are few places where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and dance to the tune of music. You can visit places like The Valley Bar, Club Mahindra Derby Green, Canterbury Bar and Selbournes Bar. Local people as well as tourists come to these places to have a time full of enjoyment and charm.
